In honour of Woman's International Month, I have to shout out a collective of women that are making the world and music industry an incredible place to blossom in.
Be A Girl Connected, is an extraordinary platform founded by Lola Plaku. I had the chance in February 2025 to be a part of the 5th cohort of Girl Connected and it's been one of the most realest and fruitful experiences I've experienced growing as a human, designer, and music producer. In an industry full of of figuring it out for yourself, the GC mentors took the time to share the codes, keys and knowledge to level up. Putting in the work through design and music is an everlasting journey, and to be a part of a community that values and uplifts women through the rawness and beauty of the process is rare. The future of the music business and beyond is hella bright & being shaped by the best of them, grateful to be a witness and collaborator. Shout out to the ones that see your art and heart.
Big thank you to Lola, Maria, Meesh, Girl Connected gyals + Colors Studio for putting together a lovely brunch at Cecconi's on a sunny afternoon in L.A. My first official Grammy Weekend babyyyyy, great energy, whole town was buzzzin, brainstorming at brunch with the team, fly afterparties, studio sessions and listening events all in love for the music.
